My father was James Roland Seary, 1910-1992, his father had the same name and was born as far as I can deduct - 1868.
He was the son of Thomas Seary, who had a sister Ellen Ann Seary and brother George Seary, their father whose name I
do not know was a Minister at a Church in Abingdon and was supposedly buried at Dorchester Abbey.
Can you help me at all?

Love your page very interesting, you have the same problem as us we have a Robert Goddard who married
a Sibill Stevens 1755 in LONGCOTT. They then lived in SHELLINGFORD. One of their sons married a ANN WEBB in 1789.
We can not find where ROBERT GODDARD came from, think he was born about 1729 [igi wrong] as he was the 1st Goddard to
live in Shellingford & no Goddard born in Longcott. Have you got him on your tree [Link would be ANN WEBB ].

Re- the entry on the children of Agnes Hawkins-Kent and James Seary.
Victors' full name was Victor James Buller Bergendal Seary. Known as "Buller" to his family
he was named after General Buller at the Battle of Bergendal - one of the battle sites of the
Boer War. My Father Leslie Arthur Seary was the youngest child of Agnes and James.
Excellent site , very useful.

Hi, great site. I am related to the Searys from Oxford, Caple Seary being my 5th Grt Grandfather.
It was intresting to find another branch of the Seary tree and also interesting to see there
was a military link there as well as my Grt Grandfather Frank Ernest Seary served with the
Northumberland Fusililiers in India in 1908-1909.

I'm collecting images of those related to my FITZGERALD family tree, and the Dukes of Northumberland are included.
Positively AMAZING photographs! I have half-a-mind to BEG for a POSTER of this one to hang over my hearth!
If you have, or ever will see, the movie, "Dead Poet Society" with Robin Williams, this photograph reminds me so
much of the hallway scene where he introduces his students to the former collegians of that institutes through the
photographs displayed in cabinets alongside trophies and memorabilia from the days gone by. He says,
"Carpe Diem".... in a hushed whisper... and, as the close-up camera scrolls across the display of photographs,
your breath gets stolen away knowing that those gents are long gone and that only their image remains frozen until
the photo is destroyed.
This hunt image is officially my treasure find on this project.
The detail shots SHOW me these gents in the moment before they mounted their horses and took off for a fun day
in the fields. AMAZING!
CHEERS.... and thanks for making this Sunday memorable!
PS.... I just recently found out that Alnwick Castle was also the site of Harry Potter's inaugural flight on his broom in the first movie! WHAT a backdrop for THAT!

Congratulations on an excellent site. I am Roger Hawkins born 1947. I am a great great grandchild of Vincent Hawkins
and Ann Mulcock. Vincent was born in 1818 in Little Coxwell, where he was to spend the rest of his life.
He was variously parish clerk, sexton, subpostmaster, agricultural labourer, census enumerator and auctioneers clerk.
He died in 1906, aged 88 and his gravestone is one of the few Hawkins gravestones in the churchyard of St Marys,
Little Coxwell, despite the large number of Hawkins buried there.
