In the 1851 census John is recorded aged 27 living at Little Coxwell with his father, then aged 65. Both are recorded as 'ag lab'

In the 1861 Little Coxwell census he is married and living with his wife Mary Ann. His occupation is given as farmer.

The 1871 census gives his occupation as farmer, employing 2 men and a boy.

The 1881 census gives his occupation as farmer of 10 acres. Present are his wife Mary Ann and his niece Sarah CLACK, aged 26, born Paddington.

John has died before the 1991 census which gives Mary Ann's (here called Maria) occupation as coals merchant. Sarah CLACK, now 35, is still present.
