Nothing has been found that specifically links this William SEARY with William SEARY 1753, but the latter had a son William baptised in 1793, and it is therefore assumed they were father and son.

Her age is given as 20 which, allowing for the normal rounding down in the 1841 census, would put her birthdate between 1817 and 1821. It is assumed she belongs to this family and is not the daughter of James SEARY and Hester JAMES because their daughter Ann was married in 1840.

Thomas was recorded in the 1841 census for Buckland Marsh living with Richard and Ann CLACK. Thomas' occupation is unreadable but Richard CLACK was a farmer so he was probably working on the farm. His age is recorded as 19 and he was "born in County".

William was recorded in the 1841 census for Buckland living with Mary STIMPSON aged 60 and William STIMPSON aged 35. All three were recorded as agricultural labourers and "born in County". Williams age is recorded as 15.

In the 1841 census his age is given as 11 which infers he was born in 1830 or 1829. However he is probably the James SEARY recorded in the 1881 census for Buckland where his age is given as 48 which would mean he was born in 1832 or 1833. It is possible he may have knocked off a couple of years from his age not wanting to admit to being fifty.
