As no record of the death of the first wife Margaret HAWKINS has been found the second marriage to Florence HALLIDAYE is speculative. However the Faringdon PRs do not start until 1646 which could explain this omission.

Margaret's son Thomas HAWKINS from her first marriage was baptized 1 November 1620 so would have been a minor when the second marriage occurred. This may have had ramifications on his inheritance.

The HAWKINS and HALLIDAYE families were descended from yeomen who were involved in the enclosure process of Little Coxwell. William HAWKINES of Stanford-in-the-Vale (d. 1601, Margaret's step-father) and his son Michel HAWKINES (b. 1561) were executors of the will of Michaell HALLIDAYE (d. 1602) and described as friends. They were also probably business colleagues.

In 1736, one year before Florence HALLIDAYE's marriage to Thomas RENOWLLS, an enclosure map of Little Coxwell was drawn up in which a Michael HOLLIDAY and a Widow HOLLIDAY are mentioned. Michael lived in plot 6 (2 virgate), plot 3 is described as Mich. Holliday close (2 virgate), and he had in interest in plot 12 "Knightons close". Widow HOLLIDAY owned plot 2 (a close, 1 virgate) and also plot 37.

In later generations the RENOWLLS (REYNOLDS) and the HALLIDAYE (HOLLIDAY) families appear as dissenters.
